Established for over 30 years in Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, West Wales, Hills Farm Stables now offer a new holiday cottage, Corran Cottage. This is a renovated flat and stable block attached to our tackroom and consists of spacious, comfortable accommodation which makes an ideal holiday where you are able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside whilst being only ten minutes walk from all the amenities that Laugharne offers;- pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, shops, chemist and post office.

There are many wonderful walks with panoramic views and superb beaches to enjoy, notably the seven miles of Pendine sands just a few minutes drive away. There are also many local attractions such as the seaside towns of Amroth, Saundersfoot and Tenby; majestic castles, theme parks, museums and craft shops to explore or you can spend time relaxing in the newly renovated cottage and soak up the atmosphere from the slow moving River Corran and watch a wealth of wild life.

Don’t forget that Laugharne was the home of Dylan Thomas and you can explore some of his haunts such as Browns Hotel as well as visit his Boat House home overlooking the heron priested shores of the estuary.

Dear Jackie and Melissa
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you both for making our three days at Hills Farm such happy ones. Anna and I so very much appreciated all your kindness and generosity - and for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. Your cooking and stories, Jackie, and all the time you gave to us on the horses, Melissa (especially that very helpful lesson) were memorable - in fact I found the whole experience such a happy, magical time, that I have severe withdrawal symptoms! Am even missing Lily and Chas 'n' Dave! Griselda

Immensely enjoyed our 4th holiday at Hills Farm Stables – that speaks for itself, we think! Had some fabulous rides out and our three dogs hung out with their new best mates Charlie and Dave. We’ll be back again soon! Wendy and Ian

Thank you for providing a magical, healing, oasis. The teenagers didn’t know what they would do here, in deepest Wales, for a week without wifi, but they had one of their best holidays ever. Jackie and Melissa are so eay going and helpful, the dogs were so happy to roam around in all the beautiful greenery and it was very calming having the beautiful, gentle horses nearby. It’s lovely to be able to walk into the village and be near the Dylan Thomas boat house. Dave the dog was adopted into our family and both dogs are adorable. We would love to come back again, in fact we really didn’t want to leave. Thanks again Kay, Maria, Alfie, Scarlett, Archie (+Deeliah and Stanley the dogs)

Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend break, one word…fabulous! Gilly

We loved Laugharne on our first visit last year and loved it even more this time round, thanks to a warm, welcoming cottage and the hospitality of Jackie and Melissa. A peaceful, lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world – will be back! Yol, Pat, Anna & Jan

Thank you Jackie and Melissa for such a welcoming stay at this lovely cottage. Buster the dog has had a whale of a time mixing with your friendly little dog. Wanda, Sarah, Jamal and Azeem, not forgetting Buster

Arrived to a lovely fresh, clean home from home...and full of local information. All the wonderful countryside was a perfect backdrop for the cottage. We felt safe and didn't worry about the children playing outside, they delighted in the space to run about and the ability to ride responsive ponies. Lovely hosts, lovely cottage, lovely holiday. Do not want to leave but will be back at every opportunity. Beverly, Kolood, Ahmed and all the children. 10 out of 10.

We thought the cottage accommodation was first class, charming and very snug, our dogs loved it and so did we. We are looking forward to returning for more riding and shall be sad to leave. Perfect! ! Wendy and Ian

Lovely warm welcome, lovely cottage. Dogs loved it, lots of walks for them around. Also good beach walking at Pendine. We would certainly like to come back. Brenda, Zoe, Ollie, Beca and Pippin.
